UPGRADING ‘ACTIVE PLAYGROUND’ IS CURRENTLY OUR MAJOR FUNDRAISING PROJECT
STAGE 1 carves out a horizontal playing surface for sport, play and gatherings of all types. The camphor laurel will be removed and replaced by three mature native trees defining a soft nature-play edge to Byron Street
STAGE 2 replaces the existing roof structure to create more space for the new playground. A new covered way roof will link existing buildings with the amenities and create outdoor learning opportunities.
STAGE 3 upgrades the existing amenities building. They will be more functional, accessible, naturally ventilated and naturally lit! The new smaller amenity structure will have unisex ambulant and accessible toilets creating opportunities for after-hour and community use.
