P&C SPORT PROGRAM

 The P&C Sport Program is set up to enhance both Coogee Public School Sports Program (weekly school sport) and the PSSA Sports Program (representative school teams).  Funding of $1,800 per term was committed in 2018 to fund:  equipment upgrades, equipment purchase, contracting outside providers of sports programming, team uniform purchase and upkeep, sports equipment , training for teacher-coaches and other requirements as requested by the School Sports Coordinator. 

In 2019 the school used the money to purchase the following items:

Term 1 – Sports Equipment for Stage 1 and Early Stage 1
Term 2 - Outside sport facilitators to deliver programs for students remaining at school sport (European handball and lacrosse)
Term 3 - Sports equipment for all stages, PSSA and the sports department
Term 4 - Representative clothing for SCPSSA zone carnivals.

The P&C Sport program in 2020 prior to COVID-19 was committed to setting up a running group and specialist training for athletics prior to carnivals with the vision of trialling this to add further sports in the future.  Any ideas or suggestions on how the P&C can assist to make sport at Coogee Public stronger are welcome as is parents involvement.  Please contact xxxxxxxx.
